- The death toll is rising as heavy rain and flooding continue to affect several parts of Kenya. - According to media reports and the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, 71 people have died: 36 in the Nairobi area, 19 in the Eastern region, 8 in the Rift Valley, 4 in Nyanza, 3 on the Coast, and 1 in Central Kenya. More than 60 000 people have been displaced, of whom about 7 000 are currently sheltering in camps. - For the next three days, moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast across most of central, eastern, western, and southern Kenya. Residents in the affected areas should stay informed of official updates, avoid flood-prone zones, and follow any evacuation or shelter-in-place instructions issued by authorities.
